Alec Hager, MA, is a cycling politician; the list of his campaigns and initiatives to strengthen cycling is long.

In "Freilauf" (Freewheel), he recounts his cycling trips, which have taken him to some of the most sparsely populated regions of the world. On a tour through Ecuador, Alec meets a friendly man from the USA in the middle of nowhere at a remote hacienda. As it turns out during their conversation, he is the passionate cyclist and former mayor of Seattle, Michael McGinn, also known as Mike Bikes.
