Alpe-Adria Cycle Route Experience: How a school project became a cycling trip across the Alps

What happens when you let four 16-year-olds set off – with a tent, bicycles and a budget of 100 euros?
Sounds like an exciting experiment, but it's a school project: Challenge This format, in which young people are given one week to complete a project of their own choosing, is called "youth development." The budget is capped, and support is minimal. Everything else is their own responsibility.
Pedal Pirates Leo, Raphael, Felix and Reda They decided to undertake a cycling trip across the Alps. Not because they were sure they could do it, but precisely because they didn't know.
In this episode, they recount their experiences with the project and their journey. They discuss the challenges posed by the tight budget, accommodation planning, and navigation, but also: the indescribably beautiful moment of arriving at the sea.

Bus instead of train for the return journey:
Have you seen our bike bus guide yet?
The return journey by train after a cycling trip can be quite nerve-wracking and complicated.
Many popular cycling routes have dedicated bike shuttle services that transport you and your bicycle back to your starting point by bus and trailer. This often saves you the hassle of changing buses and the effort of carrying your bike.
Unfortunately, these bicycle buses are not always easy to find – especially if you don't know that one exists.
Therefore, we have researched and compiled a list of bicycle buses in Austria and southern Germany for you, and included it in our [website/document/etc.]. Bike bus guide summarized.
You will also find a direct link to the shuttle service for the Alpe-Adria cycle path there.
